In Business a Leader identify right team members and create win-win situation thereby giving a beautiful meaning to one & all .
Types of Leaders
There are two types of leader , one who owns a business and knows the business and grow the business by producing value to customers/target people .For example , Larry page (Google Founder ) , Mark zukerberg , Narayana murthy , Dhirubbai Ambani, Jamsethji Tata, Steve Jobs ,Bill Gates, ,Jeff Bezos etc.
And there exist other kind of leaders as well who know the business and grow the business founded by other by joining them at the early stage of the business growth. These leaders share the common goal, interest and purpose with the founder .For example Sunder Pichai (CEO of Google),Ratan Tata, N .Chandrashekheran (Tata group CEO) ,etc. They all have entrepreneurial mindset.
Leadership versus Ownership
The difference between a leadership and ownership is that ,all leaders are Stake holder or Business owner as well but all owners are not a leader. In other word ownership is a subset of the leadership whereas a leadership is a universal set . Leadership is the ultimate way of living, where one is working at one’s full potential. Leaders can be from any field and have in-built leadership mindset which is over and above skills mindset. It is indeed unbounded awareness of self or a self realisation factor which derives the leadership .
Whether it is type one leader or type two leader mentioned above .Both have the same mindset that is a leadership mindset , business mindset or growth mindset .They work for purpose or mission and know how to create win-win situation and add value to people’s life through the business they are into , based on their interest/passion and Skills .
If one is working with leadership mindset or business mindset or growth mindset ,he/she is a leader similarly if one is doing business with job mindset, he/she is not a leader and cannot grow or lead the organisation due to lack of leadership potential .This is due to this reason many startups and businesses fails . Failure is not bad things but not learning from failure is a blunder. So skill is important but if it is not combined with a leader mindset then there is no growth .
Leadership Traits
With leadership, ownership comes but not vice-versa. For example Two brothers who became owner of huge shares of reliance industries in 2005 haven’t followed the same graph of growth. On one hand , Mukesh Ambani has grown the business to sky height with visionary strategies and great business sense ,on the other hand Anil Ambani could not grow the business owned by him .
So it is not important to be lucky , it is important to have the potential or leadership prowess to grow even further. And it is not something which is inherited , it is something which is earned through experiences ,facing problems, finding solutions , learnings ,great perseverance and spirit to carry on or moving ahead audaciously . It comes from handling the situations which can either break them or make them . Completely evolving from tough situations and learning from them. It is like the greatest transformation from a coal to a diamond.
Key takeaway
Where there is a leadership, ownership follows . Always remember leadership potential is an internal function which make changes in the external world.
Leadership is all about having Vision and working with Purpose or Mission and adding value to the target group (team, audiences or customers ) by creating win-win situation for growth .Where others wait for a way or opportunity, leaders make a way for growth .
