Behind every successful company there is entrepreneurial mindset. What exactly the entrepreneurial mindset means? Entrepreneurial mindset means the mindset which finds opportunities in problems or challenges in life. The mindset which does not get discouraged by adversities of life rather converts adversities into opportunities and make a difference to people’s life. The main trait which sets a great entrepreneurs from rest is not the ability of working on an extraordinary idea but the extraordinary courage to take forward a simple idea along their passion to the next level by overcoming challenges that come on the way. More than an idea, it’s the attitude or the mindset which makes one a successful entrepreneur. The mindset is the ability to manage challenges in life and make a way out of it. The difference between skills set and the mindset is that the skill set is important to solve any particular problem but it is the mindset which keeps entrepreneurs stable even when a new kind of problems arises. Mindset gives an approach to handle any problem or challenges whereas skills set acts as tools to solve the problems. One person cannot be expert in all skills because different kind of problems require different kinds of skill to solve them. That’s where the mindset plays the vital role which is helpful in managing the different kinds of skill sets through team work for achieving the common goal. Mindset unites the team of different skill set to a common mission called the company’s Mission through which entrepreneurs make a difference to people’s life. All successful startups started small with simple idea and with the extraordinary courage to take it to the bigger level, be it Microsoft, Google, apple, Facebook, Tata, Infosys, Mahindra, etc.

For doing Job, skill set is more important whereas for doing business, the mindset is more important. The mindset which is stable from within in all conditions and ready to accept and overcome challenges that comes on the way. Only stable mind can withstand the waves of challenges that come on the way. One cannot escape challenges in life, if one is seriously looking for growth, because the path to success always go through challenges. There is no growth without overcoming challenges, it does not matter you come up with an extraordinary idea, if it is not backed with the mindset which is stable from within and dynamic from outside, there is no growth. The mindset acts like an engine which keeps entrepreneur self motivated even in an unfavourable situations. The difference between an employee and an entrepreneur is that an employee is dependent on outside factors for motivation whereas an entrepreneur is the one who is self motivated and independent of situations. Self motivation is the basis of stability which is helpful in accepting and overcoming challenges in life to attain the goal.

Success is inversely proportional to Selfishness.Entrepreneurs are those who think more about others than themselves. Their growth is byproduct of the difference they make to others life. Entrepreneurs are those who believe in making a difference to people’s life. They make a difference by helping people achieve the expansion of their boundaries.Great entrepreneurs help their target audiences achieve something by positioning their products or services exclusively. So if you are not making your target audiences achieve something and make them experience the expansion of their boundaries then you are not making a difference to their life. Great entrepreneurs add value to people’s life by creating a sense of achievement in their mind.

Summing up: Four important traits of Entrepreneurial mindset.
- 1)They are courageous leaders who take an idea to the next level. They never give up as they are Mission driven not Money driven. Money eventually follows Mission of making a difference to people’s life through Passion.
- 2)They are stable from within and dynamic from outside which helps them accept and overcome any challenges that come on their way. They build opportunities out of adversities.
- 3)They think more of others than themselves. The highly successful entrepreneurs are self-less person, for example Thomos Edison, Warren Buffet, Ratan Tata, Azim Premji ,Steves Jobs, etc.
- 4)They believe in making a difference to people by helping them achieve something by making them experience the expansion of their boundaries.
Entrepreneurship is not only about starting a business, it is an approach or attitude of life which believes in following passion and making a difference incessantly.
